Hi rosehip.
I have just heard back from mine, only two weeks after sending it in. They turned me down. They obviously havent had time to ask any doctors or specialists as two weeks there is no way. So i am appealing.
They might be waiting for your doctors too write back before deciding.
Good luck with.
hugs, kelxxxx
Hi.. I had to wait three months, then surprise surprise......i was turned down!!!! Apparently if you are succesful (fingers crossed) your payments will be back dated to when you first applied....not easy when your skint now!!! Please dont be like me and get more depressed with every knock back...i am now asking them to reconsider with the help of citizens advice, the whole process is soo exhausting and soul destroying. I really hope you get good news from them. Good luck. Xx
I have waited 3 months nad just like FibroOptic i have been turned down, this is even after contacting my GP. My GP has told me to appeal asap, so... I will be doing just that. I will also be contacting the CAB for support. It does make you feel even more down, when these governement people do not beielive you. My Gp was disgusted when I mentioned that the DLA people have stated that Fibro is a made up disease and that it is peoples head, My GP was livid. Every time they knock you back, get up, and gight back. XXXXX
Hi rosehip,
Please have a look at this link
fibroaction.org/Pages/Benef...
then follow through to have a look at the Benefits and Work web site.
If you email Fibro Action, you can ask them to send you any of the documents and/or forms from B&W. They will do so gladly and free, as they have professional membership.
Also, have a look at the DLA tag and/or search it in the box at the top. Either way you'll find loads of info.
I used B&W when I put my claims for DLA and IB and got both without a fight.
With both you have to remember that every question on the DLA and ESA forms need to be ended with 'on a really bad day' in your head, before you answer it.
Here is another link that I hope you can see the funny side of
fibroaction.healthunlocked....
happy hugs, kate
