hi all, ive been diagnosed for about a year and alongside this am being investigated for some sort of a neuro condition which impacts on my arms, legs, back etc.... basically i have chronic sciatica like symtoms down left side of body and this has affected walking.... i use a stick occassionally when its really bad.

i also suffer from headaches, have lost some of my hearing and eyesight aswell as muscle mass and bone density. i also have wetting problems, balance issues... BUT all my mri scan results and nerve conduction results keep comming back normal... its frustrating but is anyone else feeling like this or have similar symptoms?

Hi Cherrypie, I used to have wetting problems but do regular pelvic floor exercises to deal with that...I don't have balance problem, but do have trouble with spacial awareness

My eyesight sometimes is terrible and often don't bother wearing my glasses as I can't see through them!

And my pain used to be just down the left side, starting from my shoulder, but now is just all over.

Every test I've had has come back normal!! so frustrating!

Hope you get something sorted soon xx hugs.

I am a newbie to fibro, but my eye sight is terrible. I wore glasses before this but they are always blurry and sometimes worse with my glasses. I'm going to go back to the opticians at some point but it's getting around to it.

I haven't been to the toilet properly since this started, I always feel as if I've not emptied my bladder properly. It's awful. I have IBS and was irregular with my bowels before but now it's just plain madness and hurts so much.

This fibro has a lot to answer for.

Good Luck

It could well be more than one thing going on, complicating diagnosis. Hang in there and keep the pressure on the docs to find a solution!

I 2 had all the symptoms ur describin down my left side n after collaspsing many times, scans mri's blood tests they finally came up with Hemiplygic Miagraines. The last time i got admitted to hospital with this i lost my speech for bout 6 hours my legs there is no feelin in them they stick pins in them n i dont feel anything the scratch test on the bottom of the foot, nothing. It usually takes few hours for things to get back to normal but afterwards all i want to do is sleep. xxx good luck with gettin to the bottom of ur problem big gentle hug xxx

Duloxetine & amitriptyline both have incidental side affects of helping with incontinence. Well, they help mine because condition worsens when I stop and improves when I start taking them again. Nerve conduction tests confirm carpal tunnel, and I am worried about my balance/eyes (blurring and dry/red sometimes gritty/sore). I have yet to find anything that helps with this problem. I am sick to death with pills etc. and have just started using SKIN PATCHES WHICH SO FAR REALLY HELPING WITH PAIN!!! Also making me dopey/sleepy, but if you're at the end of your tether strongly recommend giving them a go!! Wishing everyone all the very best.
