That's rubbish it's just harder for the surgeon to do the procedure that's all, look at the size of people who have gastric Bypass surgery done by laparoscopy they are 400lbs sometimes, I think he just wants you to lose a bit to make it easier for him, plus there's less risk to the patient (you), I wouldn't take it too personal if I was you, hes probly just trying to make it a little easier for you and him self.

Not a nice thing to hear Kerry, but as Chris says, maybe this is for your own safety. Dont worry though cos you are not the only one in that position, I saw my GP today and her parting words to me were that my weight has to come off!!. At least she is helping me to do this though by referring me to the weight management clinic.
Love to you , Angela xx
ok thanks
hi i think he is thinking of you my good friend had keyhole surgery 3 weeks ago a hysterectomy she was a big girl and has lost 5 stone and he told her tolose bit more if she could but if not keep as she i but also she goes to the gym 5 x a week and he said it really does help he told her he may not be able to do keyhole as larger peoples lungs deflate quicker than smaller people i think that is the right way round i am sure someone will correct me if i am wrong as i dont want to give out false info anyway he did manage keyhole but because she was in such good fitness s i think you will find it is purely for your safety and his peace of mind not to be nasty he doesnt wan to lose a patient love to you diddle x
