does anyone else get pain in their face n jaw i know its an FM symptom but i seem to b getting it so much these days it goes right up into my ears ,not nice ,love to all tofty xx

Hi on occasion i do get this facial ache and pains it is a weird sensation in fact i have just answered a blog about pain in knees too i think i am falling apart lol perhaps they should rebuild me lol love to you diddle x

Hi, yes I have terrible jaw paim. I have been diagbosed with TMJ, evidently it is quite common if you've got fibro.

Ha ha, i'll try and spell it! Temporomanndibula joint disorder. Google it for more info. I get jaw pain, facial pain, unexplained ear ache and sore throat, also tingling and migrains. Mine started after a really bad tooth extraction. Amitryptiline is the only thing that takes the edge of. Occassionally my jaw can lock and click. Hope thet helps. Karen X

I had it and was referred to maxiofacial unit at hospital. They diagnosed that it was due to teeth grinding and tension ( it spreads from neck muscles). I was on gabapentin for a while, which helped and came off this when I started to watch that I wasn't tense. One tip from nurse was to put your tongue between your top and bottom teeth, this releases tension in the jaw. Hope this helps, take care

yes I have this, I went to my dentist and she done a gum shield for my to wear at night. This does help.xx

Hi yes I was diagnosed with TMJD too, i suffer severe ear and jaw pain. I have a gum shield to wear at night but it doesnt really help and gabapentin made my constipation worse. I didnt realise amitryptilline helped so thanks for this as i am supposed totake it at night but forget a lot.

I sitting here right now trying to let my jaw relax and not talk or eat...yes its like u say, in your ears and goes up the sides of my face too.

joy of joys...its so good to come on here and have a right old moan..
