not a question more a statement do not take one when you're on the other, after a while of being on both the combo made me start passing out and fitting. one without the other should be fine just find an alternative, i am no longer on the amitriptaline.

p.s please excuse by spellings x :)

Hello,,I am sorry to hear that they effected you in that way.but i have been taking them both for many years and not had that problem,i also take many more medication aswell ....i think it depends on the individual but if any medication causes any side effects you should always contact your gp as soon as possible anyway..

yes deffo effects every one defferently,i am quite sensetive to meds, i was on them for a few years before these affects kicked in, after it happened i researched both drugs and they both said not to be mixed with the other, my doc was very sorry and admitted that he overlooked that and shouldnt have had me on both.

To be honest, I'm on a high dose of both, plus quite a few other meds. I don't think I would be sitting here typing if I wasn't..each to his own.

I got told by my GP that I couldn't have them both together as they are toxic! I didn't push it further. I'm on amytriptaline, dyhdrocodeine and Pregablin and I just keep getting it increased, I so hope that I can use some different meds soon. I've been referred for pain management, see what that does :) big hugs, much love all :) xxxx

Hi sorry to haer that this has happened to you but we all react differently to meds i was at one point on both of those meds but i did not have the problems that you had in fact they had no real effect on me at all so my gp mixed around my meds but other people may be ok it is really up to our Gp s to sort out our meds and getus all on the right combinations and wetther it suits us it is all trial and error i was months before my Gp finally got mine ok

then i was on patches and they made me so very ill i had to rip them off about a year ago and my Gp suggested i try them again and have been on them 3 months now and am fine this time so i think you need to see your Gp and let him mix and match for you and hopefully you will get there in the end love to you diddle x

I have been told to up my dose of amitryptilline but if i take a 50mg a night i am so drowsy the next day so i have a 25mg each night and a 50mg if i know i have nothig to do the following day. I am also on tramadol and take these regularly bt dont seem to haave any bad effects taking both. I do agree although sorry how it affected you Sharrona but it doers depend on the person : )
