Does anyone by any chance know of any specialists or GP's willing to treat properly ??? I am in North East Scotland and Aberdeen is our nearest NHS hospital. Ever hopeful. Eventually got bu trans patches for the pain but he refused muscle relaxant and not happy that I refused anti depressants. I am not depressed and none of the other anti depressants I've been talked into in the past have touched the pain.

Hello Clare, sorry to hear you are having problems with your g.p.Something a heck of a lot of people seem to have.

One of the reason they offer anti depessants is there is a feeling amongst the medical proffesion that it lifts your mood which then helps you to stay on top of the pain.

If you really don`t feel you need them then don`t have them. But yes I agree if your having muscle spasms then you need help with that.Maybe next time you are having really bad spasms call him out to see you,or get to see him.

So he can see what it`s like.

Your a bit isolated where you are arn`t you, would it be possible to see another doctor.

Cant offer more than love and hugs hun hope you can get it sorted.

Hi Lynn,

Thanks. x I know all that and have tried them all in the past which is why I refused them again as they did not even touch the pain. Have had norteyptiline tec as well to no avail. I also took the options of treatment with me !!!!
