To help completing DLA forms go on the site benefitandworks.co.uk, i understand you can access it from this site. This is a great site for assisting in claiming DLA and ESA and also gives advice on appealing. I have used this site to appeal against an ESA decision and I won my appeal, I also used to claim my last DLA renewal and I have been awarded DLA indefinately.
It is possible to get it !!
took me 2 1/2 years on the one claim appealing and reappealed and finally got someone in parliment to overturn DWP on a point od laW AND GOT dla, JUST REMEMBER THIS.... It is not the disabilty you have that warrants a DLA claim, it is HOW IT AFFECTS YOU, or HOW the MEDS affect you in you daily life at it WORST point. So i have difficulty walking due to joint pain and arthritus and fibro, But i would put down, i am in pain in my joints and muscles before, during and after walking. That one line won my apeal for me.
good luck.
Benefits and work.co.uk is fab. Lots of advice and examples to follow and it does make you think about how F really impacts on you and your daily living. It's a big form, take your time, and good luck
i went to welfare rights they filled it in for me . mind you i didn't get it !
A Welfare Rights advisor helped me with my first claim. It was unsuccessful, so we launched an appeal together and the decision was overturned without having to go to tribunal. Some years later the CAB helped me to up the mobility rate from lower to higher.
