I wouldn't be suprised as I think Its been undiagnosed for many years. x
Don't think that it's necessarily increased , just more awareness and better diagnosis. I'm sure my mother had it but was never diagnosed,now both myself and my 2 sisters have it,one still doesn't have an official diagnoses although she has been on pregabalin for years
I agree with the last comment, it is probably that more is known about it now, i read it is approx 5% of the population and of that 5% about 95% are female.
I am glad more is being done as when i was told i had Fibro my Dr told me to just keep fit and healthy and if needed take some general pain medications.
