Any tips, help or cures please πŸ™πŸ» Know a fellow suffering fibromyalgia person who has no internet facilities.

They cannot take loose stomach tablets due to the fact that it gives them blockages & constipation.

After eating a meal its WONKA πŸ’©time within 45 mins like a Lindor chocolate 🍫 advertisement.

Cancer & Chrohns has been definitely ruled out.

The WONKA leaves them physically drained πŸ˜”.

Any help would be most grateful πŸ™πŸ»

Sorry if this sounds loose in anyway by asking.

Kindest Regards

should also keep a food diary in case any foods can be identified as ones causing the problems

Not much to go on here. What they are doing isn't working and that is horrid. You feel stuck in a loop. Need something to change. Remember, I'm musing here not giving medical advice. Obviously, the Quack needs to rule out whatever; Yes?

If it was me and my Tum, I'd cut the fruit and veggies roughage etc and cook a protein only meal. It might make me tearful but we are going to get over that. If we need to fix our bowels, we need to be brave.

Breakfast - Scrambled egg. Tough on it's own but needs must. I find it a bit much on it's own so we may have to pop left overs in the fridge to eat mid morning?

Lunch - Chicken. on it's own. Oh dear oh dear!

Depending on how the above went down

Tea- More chicken? Groan. Because it's cooked and in the fridge? Otherwise just meat or fish.

Small portions are best. If you are hungry later, go find your leftovers. Don't eat your usual diet. Don't be tempted to snack on anything other than you allotted foods.

Ad lib water (Warm it up maybe so it's not a shock for your tum, if it's cold) in the day. Milk maybe if you drink that? Lay off the tea unless you have to have it, and then have it weak.

OR

The other tip is to drink clear bouillon, and eat white crackers or rice cakes with butter with, keeping it bland and simple for a day. Just eat enough to get you through the day and see if tum is more settled? Resting the tum a little ensuring there is no fibre consumed. The crackers should bind the system a bit?

Loose bowels can be as simple as eating too much fibre. You know, that healthy diet we are all encouraged to eat? Constipation can be caused the exact same way. A slow system gets clogged with indigestible fibre.

Medics will very seldom tell you this.

Some folks with Tummy issues have completely cured their issues eating KETO. If that appeals, go get a book, and do it properly.

My suggestion is sort of what I do when I need a reset. Depending on what is in my fridge/freezer?

Another method is fasting (yuck). It may help but it does mean you have to start eating at the end of your fast and it's super disappointing if you eat, only to have your tum complain at the shock. Only fast if you are fit enough. 24hrs. And don't do it if you are living alone with no-one checking on you. Some folks feel fine fasting, some feel awful. Think about blood sugar levels? In my opinion, you need a good frame of mind to get over that hump of feeling awful. I can't recommend what I really wouldn't want to do but it can help some folks, so I'm told.

Good luck to your friend

you have my sympathy..I am very similar.as I go from constipated to bowels going into overload and painful stomach. Now I eat roughage.porridge for breakfast.I have fibrogel at night and 2 prunes in morning.these keep me regular.but anything after that lately is upsetting it big time..my doctor pharmacist has told me to take buscopan which I am now trying.I woke up in agony early hours and had to get one.I am waiting referral to see gastroenterologist after constantly going to doctors.I got weighed at hospital other day for something different and noticed I have lost 3 kilos since last year so I need to be seen soon. Please get referred. It is a pain but gives you peace of mind

I would advise you to see a gastroenterologist and ask about Dumping Syndrome. It is a condition that can cause your stomach to empty before it has fully digested all the food. Early Dumping Syndrome can cause you to get symptoms 10 to 30 minutes after eating, and symptoms include diarrhea. So since you have to go to the toilet 45 minutes after eating, it sounds like Dumping Syndrome could be the issue.
