Its horrible having fibro I can totally relate. The only thing I can say for sure is it can take a lot of trial and error I fact it almost ALWAYS takes a good while and a lot of experimenting but you will find the right meds for you and you will be pain free again. I know from bitter experience it seems unimaginable that there could ever come a day where you wont be in pain but I assure you that day will come you just have to keep going back to the doctors and trying different doses and different meds till you find what works for you. All the best
Hello, sorry to hear you are suffering badly with Fibro. I was diagnosed in 2012 after suffering severe pain in my hands, wrists and arms. was sent to see an arthritis consultant at the hospital, where he diagnosed me with Fibro. I had never heard about it before, but the dr said the most valuable thing you can do is learn about it and how to adapt your life. I have been given medication but mainly over the years it is a case of acceptance, then living your life the fullest you can. although i can be in a great deal of pain, i will not let it ruin my life or take away my quality of life. I started suffering awful back pain last year, then very stiff ankles and pain in my knees. Am due to see a hospital consultant again in June, but exactly 26 days ago i suffered the most horrendous pain in my ankles. The only way i can describe it was like my ankle bones are broken, and i have to walk on them. I have never felt pain like this, it has made me near on house bound as far to painful to walk. Am on Tramadol plus painkillers, and my Dr getting me seen quicker at the hospital. Despite this i still have faith that all will be fine, i will battle this. The most important advice i can give is do not give up, do not lose your freedom or your life to this. I volunteer, study on courses and intend to get a job. I have been lucky not to have had to work but be a stay at home mum, and my husband works but i have ambition to go out there and forge a career still. Try to stay positive, maybe try volunteering to see how you get on and then maybe see if you can return to work. I hope life gets better for you
