Winter Fuel Payment
PIP is not means tested so getting PIP makes no difference. You will get it automatically if you get pension credit. Other wise you will be means tested on your income and savings including your pension. It all depends on your finances. It may be different in Scotland this is for England. If your unsure call DWP .

Hi as dizzy said pip makes no difference but you only going to get winter fuel payment if in receipt of pension credit however there has been so talk about parliament looking at some other help for people on enharnce pip getting some help from the energy companies with electric bills what this is or if it comes to light is anyone's guess I hope we will hear more about it when they do the budget but there is warm home discount and also help from house hold support fund but again most times depends on what finance is available in your house hold
Hi, Read an article a couple of days ago giving the date of 1958 or before, but it didn't say which month? So had another look today and found this info. It's september 1958.

Hope that helps. I'm not sure of mine as I have a small private pension which I get taxed on ( damn cheek)!! Think I might be eligible for £200. I don't claim pip as I can manage to do most things at the moment..... except on crap days.
I do hope they will help towards heating as I have raynaud's and dread winter. Even just the drop in temperature this last week has caused my hands and feet to go numb with delightful shades of red and blue almost white. It's joyous. I've tried the tablets but they cause my feet and legs to swell up.
Take care x
