I have a PIP Telephone consultation soon just wanted to know what to expect ? How long is it likely to last?

Will they have my forms/evidence that I sent to them ? Will the questions be based around these ?

After consultation how long is the usual wait to receive a decision ?

Just any helpful info Thankyou

Hi, I would say yes to all your questions. How long will it take it could be 30mins could be two hours. It depends on how much information you have presented and what they find relevant I guess. Has to how long before you get a decision not been flippant but how long is a piece a string ? Some hear in a matter of weeks. Others have been waiting months.

Hi PVYXAAEI

I can honestly say I’ve not long come off my PIP assessment and I can honestly say I was on it for 1 hour and 56 minutes! I just checked my phone record on my iPhone to see how long it took.

I think it’s more a case of how long’s a piece of string as there are so many things to discuss and each case is individual.

Now it’s just a waiting game for me but due to the recent change in government I’m not hoping for much.

Helo hope your pip phone call went OK but just a bit of advice if not already done ask for copy of report or recording for reference as I learned hard way 10yrs ago how twisted your answers are written I hate to say they are ruthless

Helo if you didn't request at assessment or if you didn't request recording of assessment you can wait week or two and ring pip number and request copy in it it will show summery of what they written and if you don't get enough points you can see where you got points and for why then if need be you can ask for MR and challenge it as now even though its such a hard system to navigate all info you can get supports you I always get copy of recording now and I think it keeps assessors to check as it's recorded as with paperwork they can write anything down I had question where they said I had no trouble walking and don't need aid when I life I need help getting to bathroom and the small distance I can manage I use sticks but have to stop after 10ft I personally don't trust dwp atall I jppe your experience is better good luck

Helo you can request the assessment recorded if that helps also I did both so it keeps assessors in check as you can't change your voice
