Finally got my cancer operation today, after 2 cancellations, one due to a heart scare.
My fibromyalgia has been off the scale flare wise, with the stress of it all.
But today finally off to the hospital, wondering if thereās a flight I could get in the opposite directionš
Been as calm as possible over the last few weeks, mainly for my youngest son, he was scared with my diagnosis.
But he has an amazing sense of humour bless him, heās been keeping me going.
Although I think heās equally upset, by being told, he will have to do some ironing and other chores, while Iām recovering!
Could be a long 6 weeks recoveryš¤£
Got my priorities right & had my blonde highlights done, some nice new nighties, and got a shed load of M&S midget gems and biscuits in my hospital bagšš»
Donāt think Iāll be allowed to take my coffee machine with me thoughš
Iām sure once in the hospital setting, Iāll be emotional.
My sons havenāt decided which one will accompany me to the theatre doorš
But when the eldest faints at the sight of a needle and feels sick at the smell of a hospital, Iām thinking heās not my safest betš¤£
I was hoping fibromyalgia would do one and disappear for a while, but looks and definitely feels like itās coming the hospital with meš
My big concern has always been how Fibromyalgia , M.E & sciatica will react to the operation.
Guess only time will tell.

morning, wishing you all the best. Glad to hear you will try and heed my advice and be a good girlš personally never managed to practice what I preach however thatās another story. You never know the offspring may be a dab hand at ironing and set up their own little money making sideline - you may find the place covered in other folksā laundry when you get backš

Good luck and don't worry... I'm 3 months in recovery from having four lymph nodes removed from my neck after the cancer had come back after 8weeks of intense treatment last year . I found the specialist would always give me worst case sannarios which terrified me but all was good. had a check up yesterday still clear the worst thing for me now is that camera up my nose every 8 weeks don't worry take things in your own time and you will be fine take care š¤š»

I found that when I had to seriously rest aftr long bout of pneumonia (3months!) my fibro improved considerably... So when enforced rest is put upon you with gentle exercises but no teabag lifting, maybe your fibro will benefit...
