Hi there,Just from my experience of managing people, a few thoughts. You don't say what sort of work you do or the sort of company you work for. If you are able to do any work at all, it may be that your employer has other roles they could offer you. For example I have some people whose job involves driving and meeting customers. If they can't do that for health reasons then I can find them a role talking to customers on the phone.

If the company doesn't have other suitable roles, or it's the case that you can't work at all then they would be able (in the UK) to end your employment - since they don't have to keep your role open indefinitely. BUT, there needs to be a proper process to do this.

The most important thing for you to do is have a conversation with your manager about the OH report and what it means for your future. It may be useful to have the HR person there , because there could be questions about the options that they are better able to answer. And depending on your employers' policies it could be useful to include your union rep or a work colleague to help you. Whatever the conversation, ask the manager to confirm the outcome in writing, including what they will do next.

It's almost impossible not to stress, but take things a step at a time. Get advice from a union, citizens advice or another professional organisation. Make sure you get things in writing and that you follow the right process.

Good luck and hope that you start to feel a bit better soon.
