Hiya, yes I've had the help from a social prescriber previously who helped me when I first applied for pip to complete the forms, she was really helpful and knowledgeable. We met in my home a few times, I had the option of meeting her elsewhere if I had preferred. She also had issues with mobility, pain and fibromyalgia so I found her a real help.I think the service here has changed slightly, it seems now they've got a whole team and it's there to help with all sorts of issues for instance if you're feeling socially isolated they will help you find local groups etc., so maybe worth getting referred to them even if it's just to see what they can offer you as you can always say no thanks.

Hope this helps x

Hi, there should be a Social prescriber attached to your GP practice. Worth asking the receptionists.

Hi , from what I understand Social prescribing often begins with a referral from a GP, hospital, charity or other organisation to a Social Prescribing Link Worker.

Try Googling NASP for more online information.

Hiya I would say yes, however it may depend on what's available from them in your area, worth considering as you never know it could help. 👍
