Hi, I am about to put a claim in for PIP & would really appreciate any help or tips to assist me with it as I have heard it is a bit of a minefield!
I have made the phone call & registered with them & they have sent me the forms. Feel a bit nervous about filling them in as I feel as though anything like this is just a trap to trip us up!
Don't trust anyone. Been having such a hard time just trying to get any kind of treatment. I am 54 & feel I have been thrown on the scrap heap. (Apologies for rambling bit of a bad week))
Thank you in advance for any help that may be offered.

Hi my lovely, pls don't tackle forms on your own. Get help as some questions can be tricky to answer. I used fight for justice but there are so many other places out there to help. Alot of people go wrong as they say what they have wrong with them, instead of focusing on how it affects your daily living. Make sure you fill it out as if it's your worse day. I have got high on both daily and mobility. Plus just been through my assessment which I got FFJ to help me again. Good luck x
hello! I am in same position as you and have to have forms in by end of the month. My GP practice social worker sent me copies of all documents they have on file relating to my conditions. She did also strongly recommend my going to the citizens advice bureau. I think they’re called something else now though! I have an appointment with them for next week and they said they’ll help fill in the form for me. Hope this helps! Xx
Pip trick question from them.20 metres is the length of 2 single buses parked one behind another.
They generally ask can you walk 20 metres with or without a walk aid.
Just read there questions twice literally before tick/ticking a box or writing an answer.
I know there clamping down on people with mental health issues & binning them off payments.
The paperwork is daunting indeed & I would highly recommend someone help you.
The daily living aspects on there forms are full of trick questions & some are most personal.
If you fill the forms in wrong you get a letter back saying you've been unsuccessful so then you have to write back & ask for a mandatory reconsider & if that fails you have to then write to the independent court trial in Wales who then read what you put & if they side with you, then you have to go to a court where you explain to a tribunal judge & a highly professional consultant doctor & there word is FINAL
Thank you for your help. I’m sorry I didn’t reply sooner. I’ve been having a terrible time with this awful illness. Your post & the link was extremely helpful ❤️
