Why can't it JUST be the fibro!?😮

Just a wee moan(after being so positive in some replies to others)🤦Have had arm pain for a month like my muscles had disappeared n my bones were doing the job so after another sleepless night I saw the doc.....frozen shoulder she said😮I looked it up later, can go on for up to three years?!!!!!now in the last two weeks I've had a trapped nerve on alternating sides 🤦so that's extra anti inflammatory meds into my mix which is needed I suppose😓between all the things I have going on I just wish I could get on the loo in time without accidental trouser tinkling ,my washing machine is constant👎😭😝

Hello, it’s okay too have a moan , it does us good too let feelings out especially when we get extra things too deal with on top of Fibro . I wear some really comfy elasticated skirts at home just below the knee, never wear tights is it worth trying instead of trousers , can’t wait for spring and get little dresses ,(I hate layers ) I hope things get better soon and don’t drag on take care x

Yeah frozen shoulder is so painful. I had it for two years, I was offered surgery but declined, mainly because the orthopaedic doctor I saw was so arrogant and up himself.

There was no way I wanted him near me. I started going to the gym and doing weights and mine went away. Having a steroid injection in the joint can also help.

Also trying some exercises on Youtube might improve your range of motion. Have you ever had your thyroid function tested because there seems to be a link between frozen shoulder and hypothyroidism. A lot of people with thyroid issues have or have had frozen shoulder.

It 'will' go in the end and you will have become an expert on it. - In the future there will be people who will be glad of your advice because it's so flipping annoying you will have been driven to research from every source besides this one, so keep asking around and try things out, like voltarol which a chemist can advise on or Boswellia which is quite nice.

So, climbing trees is out (which is how my husband got his shoulder) and holding babies for too long! Meanwhile, for the other prob, Tena lady has been great for my confidence. Good luck!

I have had fibrositis alongside Fibromyalgia, it was my right shoulder. Took months to sort, including bi-weekly trips to the Physio to have my neck stretched to release the nerve which was trapped. (nearly 30 years ago, I expect they have better remedies nowadays!)

Had another scare this last week, but I bought a new Side sleeper pillow, and it has almost sorted it out! Might be worth looking for one.

Cheers, Midori

I truly feel for you! have fibrositis in my left shoulder (traps, clavicle and delts) and it is honestly one of most debilitating pains I have ever had. Massage helps so much, but with bilateral tennis elbow, I can’t do it myself anymore.

There’s so little info out there too, but a sport injury therapist was my saving grace after being misdiagnosed so many times.

Hi there,

Hydrotherapy and 2 guided steroid injections sorted my second frozen shoulder out in 6 months. I was in agony and absolutely determined to get back to work.

I agree you become an expert and a frozen shoulder is such an odd one. It is also linked to diabetes. Hope things improve for you soon x

They check me for diabetes now and again as they can't believe someone of my large size doesn't have it 👍😍

My son has recently been diagnosed with Diabetes, but I'm pretty sure I don't have it! The Side sleeper pillow has almost sorted it for me.

Might be worth investing in one.

Cheers, Midori
