shooting pains
Hi tracylou 4001🤗🌿🌸🦋
It might be sciatica from your lower back This is very painful I have it on both sides while my hubby has it only on one side
Mention this to your GP Keep notes to describe it so your doctor will understand
Best wishes for relief soon

Hi I am sorry you are in so much pain. I too have been experiencing worse pain in the same area. Went for physio and paid myself to get am MRI scan. I don't know where to go from here. I was thinking of seeing an orthopaedic doctor but it will end up costing a lot. Doc has given me 30mg co-codemol which helps a bit but can't keep taking them. It's been months with this new pain and I'm so low now.
Hi Tilly4290 🤗🌿🌸🦋
Apologies for delayed reply, my 94 yo blind dad has 2nd bout of Covid and secondary lung infection. He’s in heart failure with AFib and not behaving himself. I’m so anxious about him…
I’m so sorry that you’re suffering soooo much from this pain.
You might ask your Therapist/GP for some lower back strengthening exercises and stretching exercises to do daily. I have several that I use and they do help. My problem is I’m not able to do them daily due to the he uncertainty of my dad’s health.
You might ask your chemist for suggestions for a pain cream. I use Aspercreme and it helps with connective tissues and helps me due the stretching/exercises.
I wish you success sweetie.

Hello , I agree with Honeybug mention this too the doc too have a piece of mind, take care x
This could also be a sign of peri-menopause, Dr Naomi Potter calls it ‘lightning f*nny’ 😳
Yes I was and I got fobbed off that it was fibro several times,in November I saw a different dr I was sent for an urgent mri then straight to southampton general for urgent spinal surgery.I had cauda equina syndrome.
I get horrendous pain just underneath my bottom like at the top off my legs and the pain in my calf’s also the pain in my hands and arms is unbearable
"shooty bum pains" oh my lord 😆🤣 that describes them exactly! Yes I've had them for quite a long time, not sciatica for me, but I think it's connected to scar tissue from my Endometriosis, and when my Fibro bowel decides to spasm I feel like I've sat on a battery!
I've found that doing sciatic releasing stretches helps - see pic
Yes, mine was caused by endometriosis. Went away after my hysterectomy. When it was bad ibuprofen plus codeine helped.
Omg so glad someone else knows what itself like, and yes thinking about it it does seem to happen when my bowels aren’t behaving 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You know there's some pains you just think wtaf! as you're lifting your bott off the seat in a fruitless attempt to get away from it and don't mention it to anyone because it's so random surely nobody else will recognise it. Then you scroll through here ....... 😂😂 and you see 'shooty bum pains' is actually a THING 😳 And Yes, they DO Bl**dy Hurt!!
