Yes it was a rheumatologist that diagnosed me and who is helping me with treatment trying to find the right pain relief. Gobwith an open mind it might take a few visits before you find what is going to help but they should take some course of action which will hopefully help it can be trial and error for a while. Best of luck with your appointment

Yes, a Rheumatologist diagnosed me. They were really kind and understanding so please don't worry too much and after all they are supposed to be the experts on these things, not the GP. Take some notes with you and a partner or friend for support and best of luck. I did wait nearly a year for an appointment though so don't know if you're on a waiting list or have an appointment? Take care X

Hi, I was diagnosed by a rheumatologist nearly thirty years ago. It was very reassuring at the time as I was really ill and was having trouble getting a GP to diagnose me. Life was much better after as I could deal with what I was told (and believed I had).

Hello yes I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and I didn't know what the rheumatologist was saying. It was only back at my GPs I finally understood. I had a 45 minute appointment which went very quickly with the questions and physical examination. It is a rheumatologist that makes that decision. Good luck 👍
