Before my full hysterectomy my hormone swings made all of my health conditions worse . It is actually the reason that I had the hysterectomy in the end.Obviously my situation was at the extreme end of his hormones can affect your symptoms, I also had adenomyosis.

Swings in Hormones in both women and men can change the way the body is stimulated and responds to pain.

I have been a lot better since I have had more stable hormone levels. I have taken an HRT alternative ( Livial) since my operation and that has also helped .

What is useful is that many of the self care techniques used to help balance hormones and improve Fibro are very similar to one another. If you do a good diary of the symptoms of both you should see a pattern forming in line with your monthly cycle , and that can help you plan your month to have slower days on and during the peaks of hormone induced symptoms in the month reducing them from causing Fibro flares.
