I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a year ago although I had the symptoms for 5 years they couldn’t diagnose me as the symptoms are common to a lot of diseases

I am also diabetic and recently had my goitre removed plus I am experiencing menopausal symptoms so I guess it was difficult to to give me the right diagnosis

Believe it or not I am still symptomatic and need treatment but was told exercise was the answer

I am absolutely fed up and terrible tired all the time, my joints are aching all the time and I am sweating profusely day and night

Going threw the menopause can be hard enough so with fibro and other conditions you have my complete empathy, it’s so wearing and I couldn’t wait too get finished , only trouble was I stopped at 44 yrs and then got oesteoprosis. Swimming gently in the pool I found helpful without going over the top and a warm soak in the bath when I got home, having a fan on at night was helpful and cotton sheet under a very light Summer tog duvet, iced water , cool gel pads from the fridge on my head , I’m sure your already trying too find ways too help xx

Hi

Thanks I must admit all these home or rather alternative remedies didn’t work for me so my endocrinologist thinks the best solution is to have HRT so I think I’l give it a go coz at present I have no motivation, no internet, just feel hot and fatigued, fed up, in pain, my feet are burning me all the time my throat is extremely dry, headaches all the time, everyday is the same

I have no interest in doing anything and just fed up with these symptoms, so maybe HRT is my only hope to enjoy life and get back to normality

Hi like you I’m in pain all the time especially as I’m cutting down on the duloxitine to 30mg

I go to a physiotherapist and the exercises are so painful I can only achieve one rep. I did some gardening yesterday and this has worsened the pain and like you exhausted. I hope they do find a cure. Thales care

Hi, yep in the same boat too and it's horrible! I've been on HRT for nearly two years. I'm on max estrogel, I have a mirena coil for the progesterone and I'm also on testosterone. It has helped my anxiety most but I'm still tired, in pain etc but it should help your sweats so worth a go - surely anything is worth a go! I'm currently seeing a pain management consultant privately and he has put me on 6000 iu of Vit D a day and other vitamins. Plus probiotics apple cider vinegar, kombucha and kefir and Duloxetine. Plus walking and yoga each day. I've got to give it 3 months 🤷🤦🤞 . Keep going, don't give up, we deserve to feel better than we do! Gentle hugs x

I had the same 10 years ago. Joint and muscle pain. Hot sweats. Headaches. Chronic fatigue could hardly get out of bed. Burning mouth syndrome. Felt like someone kept cracking an egg on my head. Itchy eyes, dry nose and mouth. Sore dry vagina. After a couple of years of going to see doctors and rheumatologist they diagnosed menopause and symptoms of fibro but not conclusive. I went on HRT and many of the symptoms much improved. I now get bouts of fatigue, sore to touch skin and achey legs which can last a few days to a few weeks and then disappear for a few weeks or months. Intensive exercise seems to bring it on. I would certainly try the HRT but you may have to try different ones before you get no side effects.

Hi

Thanks

My endocrinologist recommends I should start on Sandrena gel (1mg once daily) and Utrogestan 100mg at night for continuous HRT.

I guess I’ll give it ago anything is better then suffering
