Hello everyone,

I apologise. I have posted about this before, but I lost the post and all your replies a few weeks ago so I am re-posting.

I need to try and find an alternative medication to treat my Fibromyalgia pain. I have a busy life. I am a single parent, I run a business and I have a lot of stress with an ex husband. Life isn't great, and it is made more stressful due to problems with medication.

I have used Dihydrocodeine for years, which is effective if i take 3 at once, but I am only prescribed 2 for each dose and I am still in pain with just 2. I am desperate to find an alternative that is effective and keeps the pain at bay so I can work and look after my child. I need to be comfortable enough to do a fairly physical job. I do get gentle exercise most days. I don't have time at the moment to go to a yoga class or tai chi which is what I was advised to do at a pain management clinic appointment that I waited months for. I couldn't imagine not having my Dihydrocodeine and just going to tai chi. I can't really get all zen if I am feeling sick and screaming in pain, which is how it is for me when my medication wears off. Can anyone please advise if they have found a medication that really helps and lets them live a relatively normal life? I don't want this illness to take over. It's already destroyed my marriage.

Any help and advice would be really appreciated xxx
