I was diagnosed with FBS in 2015 . But my problem is still on going , been back to see a gynecologist but tell me I can sort my problem out my self with the help of a dietitian . After some research in my problem I find I 'm suffering with a "Dry acid reflux ". I would like to know if there is anyone else suffering the something and for any good advice on what foods are safe to eat . I've tried to eat very plain food but still yesterday my tummy was bloated all day and very sore and i've been up since 4am this morning and on the toilet several times already .
I look after my elderly mother who realise on me , so I need to look after myself.
Any advice would be greatfull.

Hello Eleni, IBS is horrible. I am sure most of us know how you feel.
You say you have to look after your mum. That can be very stressful especialy when dealing with your own health problems.
I dont know your cicumstances. But for me stress can really cause my IBS to flare up.
Have you spoke to your local pharmacist to see what they recommend that may help you?
If it continues to get worse may I suggest you go back and talk with your GP again. And please try to keep your fluid intake up. Having to go to the toilet so often could dehydrate your body.
When my IBS flares up. I try to rest, eat a light diet and drink plenty of fluids. I do hope it settles down soon for you 🤗🤗
Hi Eleni , I agree with Dizzy I think an appointment with your GP for an up date, doc may refer you too am ENT specialist for a further look , I did suffer badly with acid reflex, a trip too the ENT lady eventually and they found I d got a hiatas hernia which I am told can be very common in people and also over a certain age, also now I am on medication and like you I have too watch what I eat, in general ticking along nicely . I hope you get the right help as looking after mum can be very tiring and especially if your not feeling great in yourself xx
First stress will make it worse so try and find some time for you. Avoid fizzy drinks like the plague don't fry or if you do use olive oil sparingly. No orange juice or tomatoes they are a killer for reflux. Mince can be a big trigger also i find. Nothing spicy instead of shop bought sauces make your own where you can see the ingredients you are adding and you can use milder spices. Mild doesn't mean flavourless it is just different I Hooe it helps settle you other than that just ljts of water and I assume you get meds from gp for it
