I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia for only the last 15 months. Although battling chronic fatigue, muscle spasms, painful joints, sporadic pain from head to toe (comes & goes), constant nausea, lack of concentration, brain fog, etc. Has been going on for years
In addition 2020 saw me in an acrimonious divorce, with family and friends siding with ex - so no contact or help there.
This led to change of job whilst living on an American motor home (not traceable). Eventually moving completely away from that country and buying my own home from the settlement. However, yet another change of job ensued.
So here I am, start date of new job 09/01/23, fighting to get to grips with new industry and new systems. While dealing with all of the above.
Then in comes metaphorical "Columbo".
I notice my eyes/sight is a little out of focus and things (particularly computer screens) are a bit blurred.
Fast forward 4 weeks, following a hastily arranged opticians appointment, followed by Opthalmic referral/appointment it appears I also have a full thickness macula hole in my left eye.
I now have 2 more consultant appointments in March and May and waiting for eye surgery. I'm happy it's getting done rather than lose the sight in that eye, but it's something I could've done without.
The only good thing is that it's age related, not fibro related!
