hi all. Does anybody get pins and needles in hands. I get it in my hands and at the top of my head. Like someone is putting pressure on my head. My gp has ruled out carpel tunnel. I went for an mri scan last month on my spine and it came back I have spinal bulges but was reassured that it’s an age thing and it’s Definately fibro that’s causing the pins and needles. Just wondering if anybody else gets them ? Thankyou

Yes I do but I’m not sure if this is a result of my Raynauds which is extremely debilitating, particularly at this time of year .

I often feel like i need to scrunch my hands up to help with the pins and needles .

I also get restless legs a lot which drive me mad and tinnitus In my right ear and as of yet I haven’t t found relief for any of these things 🤷‍♀️Xx

Hi. I was just looking through the threads as I’ve started waking up every morning with really bad pins & needles in my left hand (I have PA and SI once every 2 weeks). But I saw your post about restless legs and just wanted to say I used to get it terribly and I feel for you as I know it’s horrendous. I did my own research (I’m not medically trained) and the thing that keeps mine at bay is to take iron (ferrous sulphate) supplements. It worked for me pretty quickly. It might be something you could try if you able to have iron? Good luck and I hope your symptoms settle soon 🤞x

Hi yes I get this all over my body . And before a flare up. It has calmed down since duloxtine but I still get this. I also have sulfasalazine for arthritis.

I also get this and duloxetine 160 mg has definitely helped with the pins and needles everywhere like ants crawling over my body .

Started on duloxetine for my pain but does nothing. Trying gaberpentin for my pain next after trying many other things.

Hi, yes pins and needles in my hands many times each day and at the back of my head. I get a very unpleasant “fizzy” headache at the back. It’s not painful, just alarming. Exactly like pins and needles in my head. GP didn’t so much as comment when I mentioned it so I’m guessing it’s just another fibromyalgia thing.

Hi there Kazzza1976You are not alone - I also get pins and needles in my hands and a horrible tingling, prickling or crawling sensation on my head and face. Most of my fibro symptoms are in these areas - it's not very nice! I also get a lot of pain in my hands especially if they get cold.

yes me to pins and needles and pain in hands and sometimes it feels like I’m losing my grip. Been to the doctors many of times as I thought something else was going on as well but the rheumatologist has done a few tests and ruled out other things and said it’s fibromyalgia causing this

I have cervical stenosis and what you’re describing fits with your spine issues. Request the GP refers you to Pain Clinic, however in my area they don’t want to know and do not help. Would have to 99% unable to walk before they would help. NHS areas vary greatly in services and quality…hopefully yours is good.
