Hi Kes I have Fibro and a condition called Lymphoedema which causes my feet and legs to swell sometimes it's so bad I can't walk at all and I have had it in my arms so it might be worth mentioning it to your doctor incase it's that. There are two types, primary is the type I have which can be hereditary or secondary which can occur after treatment for cancer. Just thought it'd be worth checking out. Take care!

I noticed my right collarbone had started to swell and was very painful, had x rays ultrasound scan and MRI and was told I had soft tissue inflammation and some wear and tear, had blood tests to rule out RA and have now been diagnosed with FMS. I also suffer severe pain in my fingers, hands, feet, wrists, elbows, neck, back ,ribs etc etc etc I sympathise with you and hope you get some answers to your problem .

Starting to worry a bit now as found this after I came back from my scan today ...Enlarged lymph nodes above the collar bone (supraclavicular lymphadenopathy) are always considered to be abnormal. These generally suggest a cancer of or an infection in the region close by. Examples of these may include lung infection, lung cancer, lymphoma in the chest cavity, or breast cancer. Occasionally more distant cancers may seed these lymph nodes, such as genital cancers or colon cancer. Some inflammatory causes of the swollen lymph nodes above the collar bone (clavicle) can include tuberculosis or sarcoidosis..........

The doctors are not telling me anything everyone just keeps saying can't see anything wrong .... Doing head in now

I have had soft tissue inflammation in my shoulders, neck, lower arms and feet. After lots of investigations, it was put down to fibromyalgia, so try not to worry. It can be a bit like reading the leaflets that come with prescription drugs listing all the side effects. For most people the symptoms are not going to be the worst possible medical condition that is life threatening just as most people can take prescription drugs without the horrendous side effects.

Update of inflammation apart from my GP saying it was fatty tissue ... Cheeky cow .... It possibly is n inflammation of the membrane around the top of my lungs when I exert myself I get shortness breathe.. I have to have another scan . Dr said nowt to worry about . Not life threatening .. So what is it and why can I do to get rid of it ... Still no answers until scan ... Fed up now

Did you ever get to the bottom of this swelling please? Xx

Late response, but I get soft clavical swelling, on/off. Diagnosed FM/ME plus other health conditions.

Finally seen a Rheumatologist whose done bloods, including bone bloods. Scary thing is she said no scans as had a few recently (not good for me) THEN today I've received an appointment for a full body nuclear medicine bone scan, not DEXTRA.

I'm concerned.

Anyone experienced similar?

Xx
