Hi everyone. Hope you’re having a good day. Had anyone ever had a  EMG/Nerve Conduction Study for Fibromyalgia? I went to see a rumatologist who was amazing. She has sent me for loads of test. But never said anything about this one. I did have 3 MRI last week on hips back and neck. Just wondering if anyone else has had this. Thank you for reading this post

Hi Rox_daw, a good few years ago now but I don't suppose it'll have changed too much since. It's painless, they use water and it's like thick wire loops for your fingers, small electrical charge to your nerves that are recorded and your fingers will obviously jump. Slightly different for limbs but same idea.

Previously diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy, changed to 'most probably' small fibre neuropathy after last one but they didn't do a punch biopsy??🤷

many years ago on my legs, painless but left with massive bruises for some reason but they soon faded and weren’t painful

Yes I did have the EMG session with a neurologist to rule out neuropathy. The test isn't a walk in the park but I am glad to learn that I didn't have neuropathy.

I had it done and it showed neuropathy in arms and legs
