trying to apply for a job any advice please?

unfortunately I had to leave my office admin good job due to not being able to carry on with the tasks due to a lot of pain and very high anxiety. I took a few months off to rest. I desperately need a job to earn so I can pay my bills, but I’m unable to spend time on key board filling-in online job applications, I even tried to apply for a job in a charity that supports people with disabilities but how do they expect you to fill-in 8 pages of on-line application as my medical condition affects my hands/arms and spine? I cannot use keyboard/computer for more that 10 minutes as my upper back, hands and upper limbs and lower back are in pain.

This is just my First time writing here as I cannot use keyboard, today typed this by trying dictation on iPad.

Visited some local shops asking for work, but due to my age I won’t ever get a job 😔 I’m early 50s

anybody knows any employers that will accept CV/application via post? Or any other advice please?

Wondering if you contacted the charity to see if they could support you in the application process or offer alternate method of applying.

Hi - I wonder if you've tried Scope's 'Support to Work' programme, of which I've heard very positive things. Scope is a disability charity, & often has ways to accommodate people's varying disabilities. Please see: scope.org.uk/employment-ser...

Can you print the application forms and then fill it in at leisure?

computers can also be dictated to, look in settings > ease of access > speech > windows button + H switches on and off.

citizens advice can fill some forms in.

access to work may help or universal credit, may be able to reduce your council bill.

good luck with finding a new position.

hi Buttercup, I live in the states and her we have a service called vocational rehabilitation services where they work with people who have disabilities be it physical, emotional, cognitive and help place them into a job that they are able to do. I went through vocational rehab 20yrs ago where they had me go through a work trial then they help you with applying and getting a job.which I can only work very part time. I hope that the UK has a similar service.
