Hello, it’s horrid when pain stops us from doing things 😟my highest pain places seem too be shoulder blades , neck and lower back , so always a good soak after tea in the bath is a must for me, I do use ibuprofen a lot more when weather gets colder , the rub in gel. (Always check with pharmacist if on any meds) Have you any wheat bags or hot water bottles too use , I do find anything warm gives me some relief . Xx
Yes, I get a random pain on my left outer thigh that is likely to be a patch of nerve pain. I also get pain on the right side, but that is not fibro related and I have physio exercises to help (it's due to muscle changes during menopause)
This is my biggest fibro problem area, I creak around the house. The only thing that helps is exercise. Once I've done some exercise they loosen up for a few hours.
hi yes I suffer a lot with thigh pain and lower back and hips too… I take nuramol which helps and use hot water bottle too, unfortunetely change in weather affects us all with our fibro I don’t take pain relief all the time or they will be less affective I do also use a freeze gel that helps too but main thing is to keep mobile or you will stiffen up even more.. pain is a daily occurance we all suffer with I hope maybe some of my tips help you a little
Yes,i suffer from thigh pain, left is so bad at time i cant lift my foot properly, so i trip.
Its so difficult going up stairs.
I got exercises from physio, but so painful to do.
Also suffering with right shoulder and elbow pain.
re other people on here using to help as l cant find any thing to ease the pain ect
hello, I suffer from pain in my hips and thighs as well as most other areas. It makes it difficult to get up from a chair and start walking if I have been sat down for a while and I hobble until I get moving. I have started Pilates as my rheumatologist suggested and will persevere although it does help at the time but relief doesn’t last.
yes I suffer the same thing as well as my lower back and hips I make myself walk even tho I also have osteoarthritis I both my knees you need to push yourself because the stiffness only gets worse if you sit still too long… you don’t have to do a mile walk but you do need to move even if you walk on the spot it does help but obviously no cure as it’s fibromyalgia related … hope you can move a little worth a try at least
yes that is me. My hips and thighs are stiff and painful particularly first thing. I get up, make a cuppa and take my painkillers. An hour later I can just about manage to get dressed. I use a hot water bottle in the evening on my thighs. It doesn’t take the pai away but I find it soothing.
