Good Morning to all and good afternoon to those who have just woke up :)

Last night i did my usual routine, sat down with my wife watched some TV and took my meds ( 100mg of tramadol & 150mg of pregabalin ) my wife went to bed around midnight as usual and i went to around 1am as usual, where as when i usually go to bed i wake up about 4 or 5 times through the night last night my head hit the pillow and i was out like a light, the next thing i know my alarm is going off at 7am, my wife was already out of bed and making breakfast for our daughter, she then came into the bedroom at 7:10 to make sure i was awake but has to wake me, i sat up and said i would be down as soon as my legs start to work, the next thing i know its 7:35 and my wife is waking me again, i finally got up and made my way down stairs, had my coffee and meds, sat myself on my tall stool and made the sadwiches for my wife and daughters dinner, i could feel myself falling asleep while making the sandwiches, it is now 8:40 and iam sat here writting this blog, I feel KNACKERD..

So where do i go from here, i have things to do to keep me busy but i feel like all of my energy has been zapped out of me, How many other of you wonderfull freindly people have days like this and what do you do to stay awake??

Snoozing and nodding off

I often feel like this but sometimes it is due to the meds I am on and I have to remind myself that it's OK to feel like this and to take my time over things. Still very frustrating though when I used to be firing on all cylinders all day every day.

lol how funny yeah sometimes i have times like that at night i start falling asleep at 11/12/1/2/3 in afternoon which is not like me and not surprising with all meds i on just wish when i got in bed i would shut my eyes and go right through it worse than when my kids were babies perhaps its pay back as they were so good at night and someone out there wants me to suffer lol. oh well been to doctor had half hour chat/cry and rant she was her usual fantastic self and very supportive, then my mum and dad jus popped in to see me and and had good old cry on mum shoulders so feel bit better now . now going to have coffee with my 2 best mates and put the world to rights and not going to mention fibro or how i am feeling then will collapse in heap lol and it all starts again. you take care and hope you managed to stay awake lol love and soft hugs Didddle xx wo extra d in there lol

Hi chorley,

I can never win with my sleep neither.

If i dont get enough i am knackred if i get too much i am useless lol.

I will sit there through the day and want to watch something then i suddenly wake up and miss it.

I also feel worse if i fight it tthrough the day though so usually give in and have a quick 20 mins to recharge my batteries, noone will know if they are at work or school ehh.

had this for over 6years now. I used to sleep like top. Now I don't sleep much at all. Some people can take sleeping meds that help, I'm unlucky they don't work and just give bad taste in mouth in morning.

Unfortunately, it goes with the territory (fog can't spell today). You can't win, if you fight it you don't get anyhting done and if you do have nap you don't feel much better then.

Went to docs other day cos of bags under my eyes, thought I may have some new novel condition again. But no it's from lack of sleep! Joy!xx

oh yeh, pub is good for short term, but beware it becomes habit forming and you could end up being alcamafrolic before you turn round xx

Hi

I go from one extreme to another where I can hardly sleep at all and others where I can sleep for hours albeit interupted sleep 28 hours being the longest but in 13 years that has only happened a few times, my poor family never know what to expext from me, I once fell asleep holding a cup of coffee and they were all laughing at me coz I was still dipping my rich tea biscuits in my coffee and eating them, I HAD to give up smoking 7 months ago as I was a danger to everyone around me, getting up during the night or in the morning and being totally unaware I had been smoking, only reason I knew was duvet and cover burnt and sometimes stub stubbed out in mattress, dangerous, so no more smoking, I still get up and am totally unaware as to where i want to go, I go to my son's room and askhim does he want to go to the dancing, er he's 16 and I'm a very young 50 (if I want to go dancing) and the best bit is I don't know how I do it as I can hardly move due to the severity of the pain.

Sleep well and sweet dreams everyone :)

(((((soft hugs)))))
