how low was everyone's serum ferritin levels?

I've just had mine done again (results should be in later this week)but last time it was tested was 2years ago and was a meagre 42 ......... feeling worse than last time and already on meds for RLS so absolutely dreading these results lol

Hi, I've got the opposite my Ferritin level was very high back in April it was 431, top level is up to 300! I had it rechecked again in June but they wouldn’t test it at 5he lab because it was less than 3 months since my last test, I have had it redone last Wednesday and just waiting for the results to come back! Not quite sure what is going on and why mine is so high! I’ve heard of low ferritin like yours but not heard of high levels! Hope you get yours sorted out x

Hi there

My ferritin level although I am not anemic the Dr said were 5.7 my iron stores were very low and this was the first time I had them checked so that is my bench mark. I was started on ferrous fumerate 320mgs daily and the levels get checked again end of October this year.

In the trust I get my bloods tested your result would come under the normal category however results do vary sometimes depends. You will be getting your results soon I guess so your GP will be able to let you know the result criteria for your local trust. You will have to let us know how you get on. I am having further investigations at the present time. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue/ME 1992 and fybromyalgia 2 years ago next month
