Flare ups and coping with family life…. 😞

Hi all, hope everyone is feeling some evening rest! So this week I have had a terrible flare up and have felt bed ridden.. I have my boys to look after and it’s the summer hols of course.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice or ideas on ways to manage family life and resting ?

I mean I just get on with it as I have no choice the same as many others. It’s so hard to fight that fatigue feeling and not just go lay down. I was daydreaming yesterday and thought I could do with a blow up mattress that I can place anywhere on the floor about the house so I can just lay when I can’t sit up! x

Sorry you are struggling so much. Do you have family /friends who can help you out by watching the boys, even for an hour or two.

I know when my daughter was younger, I couldn't have managed without having other family members to help with her activities xxx

I have my partner who has been a god send, but he’s back to work very soon and that’s what I’m dreading. Other than him I’ve no one else as my family have re located up north and I have re located east. Lol. I will be stocking up on bribes and make the best of it. Thanks so much for your response xx

I can relate, I feel awful when I don't have the energy to play all day when my toddler isn't in nursery. I have just made sure she understands that mummy needs rest from time to time or we play games on my lap or even make a game of going upstairs to play in bed (Any excuse to lie down too 🤣). How old are your boys? Wondering if they are at the age where you can introduce some chores for pocket money? X

My boys are 9,8,6 and 2. The eldest is more understanding and is starting to help me with the 2 yr old. He will watch him whilst I’m sat or led on sofa so I am supervising as well of course. I had the pocket money talk with him yesterday and said he can earn weekly money for helping mumma during the week as it’s summer hols and he was up for it. The middle 2 boys are roblox addicts and YouTube of course, so as long as they’re occupied it’s not so bad.. but partner is going back to work very soon and I am dreading it. I’ll have to stick up on bribes (I’ve learned to pick my battles ha ha) and that helps the younger ones more so than money. Thank you for your response xx
