Hi and a warm welcome to the forums. You can find general information on fibromyalgia at our website fmauk.org and our patient information booklets at fmauk.org/publications
Sorry that you are struggling so much right now, and also for your recent loss. You say that you just keep getting signposted elsewhere - have you been able to contact anyone who can help support you and your family? You do not say age of children, but it sounds like they are being closed as young carers - do they also have any support through young carers organisations)?
So sorry that you and your family are going through so much right now π«Ά
I find that Epsom salts in the bath help to ease my pain a little - in fact, I tried a sensory deprivation tank session last week and it was incredibly relaxing and therapeutic, it may be worth a look in your area? I tend to favour any therapy or exercise that involves water, as it takes the weight off my body for just a little while.
Sending lots of hugs - it is such an isolating condition, but Iβve found this group to be so helpful and supportive π
I understand your frustration, I was a nurse myself. I was widowed with 2 children below school age, and had to bring them up solo, and by the time I was ready to get back to work the whole system had changed and I was no longer registered. Then I was diagnosed with Fibro.
My son is my carer, which is a pain for both of us, as he can't get a job as more than one day's work would cause him to lose Carer's Allowance (all Β£2 per hour of it!)
It's amazing how quickly they can chuck you on the scrap heap, isn't it?
