Hello everyone. Could someone help me with my query please.
I have applied for pip and unfortunately got 6 points, so I Mandatory appealed against it and now it's going to tribunal, as they kept the same decision.
But my question is, do I need to inform them of other new health conditions, even though am not getting the benefit? Or will they make me do a new claim, as the claim awaiting tribunal has been since 1st June 21 and I would lose out of monies owed if I win.
Thank you
Love and light
Maria

PIP is not about any diagnoses, rather your functional ability to reliably perform the PIP descriptors. New health conditions, or any worsening of your problems, will not be taken into account; it's about how you were at the time of your PIP assessment.
it's always wise to proceed with a Tribunal, for as you say, if awarded, you would receive monies from when you started a claim (presuming this is your first claim).
Hi, I have had a similar issue and the more new health conditions and symptoms you tell them, the more reason you have to get your claim adjusted with additional points. You have to put anything in writing though rather than call them. After you have written, you need to call them and ask them if your points are now being reassessed. Anything additional on your records in your medical records I send across for mine.
Also, when you call up about your claim, it states that you can use the helpline to let them know of any changes to your condition. That doesn't have to be that you have improved, it can also be about how much you have deteriorated as well and you can ask them to reassess your points if you think you should now get a higher score
Worth just ringing and checking to see if you can add new information to you claim or tribunal as it is ongoing , or if it would mean a new claim. If you can add it on , and it could make a difference because of how your new condition could change how much you can do it would be worth it.
If they say you would have to start a new claim just leave it.
There is the Helpline , but the Citizens Advice Bureau could probably tell you which is the best option too.
