I was literally just about to do something, got distracted, and now can't remember what I was going to do!!!!!!
Brain fog: I was literally just about... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Brain fog
I think that happens to most people to be honest. Even thoughs who dont have fibro. Its very annoying thats for sure.
Yep, you go into another room, forget, come back, remember, go over, forget, come back, remember, up to 4 or 5x. So I did a test memory and came off pretty well only with faces and names, but scored badly on a whole, so it recommended me to go to a neurologist. So - still pre-fibro - I went to a neurologist cos of that. And he laughed and said he has that himself.
Then when we were just saying goodbye I mentioned sometimes not being able to talk properly for a few minutes, thinking it was just as harmless. Earnest look: Come back in and sit down. Now what was that? Some time later, after an MRI, I was diagnosed with focal seizures...
I relate HoneyDebra! Frustrating 🤗✨

Hey! I was gonna say that!
You're not too far gone yet if these don't sound a little familiar.
PIck one:
* What'd I come downstairs for?
* Where'd I put that darned...
* Oh, I've already got four of these.
* Hey, what'd you do with my... (Better buy another one. That one's gone forever.)
Better blame the dog/ cat. They can't rat you out.
Hi HoneydebraI was gonna tell you something, but I can’t remember what it was 😂. Joking aside I keep thinking Iv got a dementia my memory is that bad.
I think I'm going round the bend! 😂
I so relate to this I feel exactly the same
Lol same here happens every day
I used to get that just walking into a room… now I get it halfway through a sentence and have to think soooo hard to figure out what the next word is - it’s exhausting and frustrating
Yes that's me. And quite often I stop in the middle of a sentence can't make the next word come out, often don't know what the word is, and when I finally get the word out, I'm not sure if it's the right word. Often ask my hubby if it is the right word. 🤔
I'm exactly the same and it really upsets me x

Yeah this is constantly happening and I just relax and tell whoever I am struggling to remember or struggling to explain cos of brain fog; I don't stress about it and slowly continue, in fact, everything is pretty much done at a slower pace these days 🙂
Mines that bad I can’t remember taking my medication sometimes..
I'm supposed to be good with words but nowadays they often evade me. I'm lucky not to have had to root through the depths of my brain to find the word "evade"!
We all in the same boat unfortunately☹️😂
I’ve got Fibro had it for years now, when I’m under pressure or stressed which is often I just can’t think straight I feel confused and simple tasks that I can normally do just go clean out my brain, it is so embarrassing and distressing especially when at work makes me feel like I’m going mad so I sympathise with anyone suffering with Fibro fog.
Add to that age related forgetfulness I I don't know who I am sometimes never mind what I was going to do.
Hi Honeydebra... You too? You made me laugh. Happens to me all the time.... even on a good day! It's pitiful on a bad one. I write lists, then can't find the list. Come upstairs and can't remember why ???. Lots of people experience the same thing, even if they don't have fibro, but I think it's worse if you do. Take care x
Me too, several times a day! Also when I'm halfway through a sentence too. 🙄
I don't mind it anymore. It did for my career way back but I've got creative about using substitute words if I can find them and try to have fun with it. Often I forget the thread anyway. I just say 'I get brain fog' and most of my 70's age group can relate to that entirely, even lots of younger people who are stressed. I quite like to involve people in helping me find the word and have developed a gesture which is a winding finger around the part of my face where my right temple is. Most people enjoy guessing games! It's a bit like that sketch with the Two Ronnies, only the second Ronnie always said a completely different word to the one the first Ronnie suggested when he finalky thought of it. - Well, yes, taking pills or supplements that's another matter, but you've survived to write about it. - If it's any comfort, I once read somewhere that we were never supposed to remember lots. People lived in small villages in ancient times and hardly ever met other people, so names, conversations were really limited as our lives were. Now it's all gone mad and we are bombarded by words and talking everywhere. Maybe it is quite a healthy reaction to shut some of it out, even from our own brains. - I talk to plants and trees a lot now. They're good listeners.
We all seem to suffer with this one way or another. I think we need to start the brain fog gang.
I forget all of the clever words that I know.. (I was a clever clogs in English) and now I look like an idiot because I forget words and I get things muddled up and the wrong way around like’ boys eat your drinks and drink your dinner please’ and then I have my 9 year old correcting me 🤦♀️ 🤣😂I say ‘ come on now be nice, mummy has a disability’ it doesn’t work. Xx
This is so frustrating. When I’m working I have to make notes al of the time so that I know what I’ve done and can look back on if anything queried 🤨
Yep all the time
I thought I'd put my egg on to boil but it was still on the kitchen counter 😂😂😂 I just had to laugh when I opened the pot after 10 mins and there was no egg!!!
