Hi JBTOI use a tens machine. Everyone is different with pain. Tens are Drug free. Helps take the edge off.

Take care.

I suffer with horrendous back pain, I got myself a really decent mattress. As I sleep on my side I got a full length body pillow which helps support my body and a weighted blanket. I sleep so much better now and have found this has helped so much with my morning stiffness. I also use hot water bottles, a tens machine and a back support belt that I only wear when I'm doing something. I take pregabalin and I also take Vit D, Magnesium, omega fish oils and vitamin B12 to help combat my wide array of symptoms.

I have to plan and spread everything out into small manageable jobs around the house and get my husband and children to help me alot.

It's so hard adapting to the new me and what I can manage but I'm staying positive & focusing on things I can still do and enjoy without focusing on what my life used to be like. I hope you find something that helps give you some relief x

I have been taking Cymbalta/Duloxetine for many years and my pain went from 90% to 10%. It has also controlled my anxiety and depression. I also see a chiropractor twice a month because I believe my connective tissues aren’t as strong as they should be and this helps keep my joints in alignment so I don’t have more pain. For my degenerative disk pain in my cervical spine I saw an orthopedic doctor who gave me epidural steroid injections under light sedation. I had this done 3 times and I have not had to get it done again for a very long time. I may not have to have it again at all.

Recently I saw a rheumatologist who I did not like at all but she did prescribe Baclofen(a muscle relaxer) to help me sleep at night. I take this occasionally.

Please take care of yourself and keep seeking care until you find something or a few things that work.

I am currently not taking my Cymbalta. Because I had to stop for an upcoming surgery and I am in sooo much pain!! I have taken it for so long I forgot how debilitating fibro pain can be!!!

I get to restart taking it in 3 days and I can’t wait!!!

I hope any of this helps you and others looking for help.
