Yes, don’t have to hold them out, fiscally when I try to do anything too close, my hands shake
Yes I have this too get it now and again usually at night
Yes I've noticed my hands tremor all the time to varying degrees. I notice it more when doing something delicate like crafts. Not so much shaking as just tremors.
Yes I get that too. GP said it was essential tremor. It’s only when I go to do something not when I am at rest
Hi, could be blood sugar as discussed below, if you notice it more with/without food, but it might be worth getting your B vitamins (especially B12) checked properly (hard, I know). My family has a very long history of Pernicious Anaemia and B12 deficiency and the essential tremor appears in the same family members generally - and is worse when their Bs are a bit low. Ours is a genetic metabolism problem, so serum looks ok, meaning no-one gets treatment until it has developed to full blown PA unless they do it themselves. But we persevere in asking and providing information in hope. For info essentialtremortreatment.co... Cheers
Yes, I have this problem. Neurologist did some tests and an MRI scan of my brain and found nothing wrong so put it down to fibromyalgia 🙁
I've noticed my hands tremble when I'm doing something like sewing or using the keypad on my phone. If I hold my hands out it's barely noticeable. I'm glad I'm not the only one, it's quite reassuring.
Yes I have them occasionally, I found it happens more when I realised I haven’t eaten for a while and once I get sugar inside me ( carry sugary coated sweets with me or a bottled orange juice drink) it stops after a few minutes. I am not diabetic and have regular blood test so not sure exactly why this happens …….could just be a sugar drop in the body ??? Haven’t yet seen my doctor about this yet xx
Hiya, that's when I notice mine more aswell. Feels like my arms and hands have gone to jelly if that makes sense...... I'm not diabetic either......

Might be because of big gaps in meal times. I don’t realise the time when out shopping then this happens and I realise the time and how long since I’ve not eaten. Need to keep an eye on my timings lololol hope you feel better that it’s more than likely NOT something bad xxxtake care
Hi, I'm afraid 'not something bad' is relative. You will shake etc because your brain is being deprived of fuel and stops working well when blood sugar drops too low. Either hypoglycemia or insulin resistance, or both, don't do much for brain function and hence for everything else. Datis Kharrazian has written two useful books, one on thyroid function and one on brain function, and both have a chapter on blood sugar control as it is foundational for health. And neuropathy can be affected by blood sugar dysregulation at levels lower than pre-diabetes, to my personal experience. So if possible, I'd see the GP and maybe invest in a glucose monitor. Protein snacks would be better than sweet - I carry a few nuts with me. Best wishes
Interesting connection. I have low blood sugar, and never thought to see if eating helps. Thanks.
Me too. I can't do fine work anymore.
tremmers (great Sat afternoon movie) and yes I get them mainly in my left foot - try relaxing mindfulness or epsom salt bathe?
Hi Deb,
Yes I do have tremors and shakes
The shaking is when I stick out my hand, hold a coffee cup, the tremors is quite often at night when I am in bed. Sometimes I feel like the exorcist, floating above my bed or when you see in drama series they get shocked with paddles when their heart stops
