I just wanted to say thank you to all those who have encouraged me to register for my blue badge. I finally did so in the Autumn. Due to Covid my interview was over the phone rather than face to face, with a lovely lady. Only a few days after that she wrote to confirm that I had been successful, and my badge arrived a week later. She also encouraged my to apply for PIP, which I will do next.

When I applied online I had to fill in endless forms , perhaps it’s different here in Wales

There was a lot of information requested, but not unreasonable. It was all pertinent.

I thought you had to be in reciept of pip to get a blue badge. I might look into that myself. Still waiting to hear if going to be awarded pip. Not holding out much hope but who knows.

No you don't need to wait. I did mine online. No interview or phone interview. Was awarded it based on my answers and added info I gave. I was not on pip at the time. X

I am glad to read this has been successful, so helpful as many places are getting worse to park , such small spaces and larger type 🚙 cars , I really hate it now when I try and park for the food shop etc, even better to hear the lady on the end of the telephone was nice and helpful x
