Pain and more pain
I'm sure that's how a lot of us feel about this terrible condition; especially when the medical field cannot pinpoint what we actually have - on the other hand; with all the research being made into long term covid, there might be some hopeful advances. It definitely can make your life pretty cr#p Take care
Oh Mishka1975 this Fibro is such a dreadful condition. We can all sympathise with, and it's good that you are able to come on here and vent. Sending you some gentle hugs.
I feel like my life is over and I'm only 51 I feel like 100yrs I am grieving for my life since was diagnosed with fybromalgia osteoarthritis rheumatoid and inflammatory bowel disease I really can't take much more
Lin7361 I am so sorry that you feel that way, it is awful, I too have Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, IBS and COPD. I try not to dwell on it, and try to take my mind off them, by occupying myself by either watching TV or researching my family tree on my PC, or even just playing games on my PC. I use a 4 wheeler rollator and when I feel up to it I go for walks, not too long, and with plenty of rests along the way. Chores are left until I have a reasonably 'good' day and then I pace myself, what doesn't get done is left for the next time.Do you have family who can support you? I have a really understanding husband, and even though he has health problems too will help out where and when he can. Also it's good to talk things over with someone.
Feeling as you do, have you spoken to your GP, they should be able to help you?
The past couple of years have not been good for anyone, but for those of us who have these chronic conditions it has been a really bad time, do try and talk things over with someone, especially your GP and family. Sometimes just talking helps.
Do take care, we are here for you if you need to chat.
Have you investigated The Spoon Theory? It can help you to explain to unbelievers just how it affects you and drains your energy. Print it off if you can and give it to the doubters.
Cheers, Midori
Midori is right - Spoon theory gives me a life, I'm able to plan - it's not just for our inner circle - it's for ourselves too - Without spoon theory I'd still be banging my head against a brick wall [on days I can move ha!] and I'd have no social life at all.
