Hi everyone, i have never been on this site before but have read some posts which sound so much like the struggles i experience in life. I was told a while back that i would receive support from my GP and Rheumotologist but i have not had any support from either. I also have sever Ostearthritis and COPD and struggle to cope with all of these on a daily basis. Talking to people who have the same troubles does help so thank you for reading my post and being part of such an important group

Hello and welcome, it is a good forum to be part of, give your GP a nudge and ask for a referral for Rheumatologist. doctors have a duty of care and with Covid waiting times for appointments may take longer, also if you need any pain meds you can sit down and discuss this as well. Nice to come on the forum and have a chat,we are part of a very big club xx
I've seen rheumatologist and he promised an OT referral because of concerns with my walking and balance but it didn't happen and my next appt is a phone call assessment.it is all so tricky now
Good morning Savannah1010 and welcome. It's great to be part of this little club and speak to others who suffer similar to you. I too have Osteoarthitis and COPD and life can be a struggle at times, with me it's mainly the Fibromyalgia that causes me the most problems. I would give your GP a call and speak to him about support, it's difficult at the moment with Covid getting in the way. It's good to come on here and just read others posts and how you relate to them, and then join in a chat if you feel the need to. Hope you are having a relatively good day. Take care and stay safe.
Not happy to see you but pleased to meet you. As others say you have to nag to get reviewed and treatment. The system is up to it's eyeballs with that Covid malarkey and a lot of basic care has just ceased. So nag or get a nagger to help you. I find the young ones with a phone that can do auto redial the best but don't feed them too much and keep out of direct sunlight.
