Hi all I have un going shoulders and neck pain 24/7 and the pain killers are not working well .last night I had bad chest pain and my left arm was week and n Numb and I thought I’m having a heart attack so this morning I want to ENE I had X-rays blood test & and they check my heart at end they say it’s Fibromyalgia Causing your pain see your GPS

Yes I have had that a couple of times had a Ambulance out to me but they couldn't find anything wrong so didn't go to hospital got uses it, so ignore it, Pain move more in my legs now. The pain in the ribs Is called costochondritis all part of Fibromyalgia, take care.. My spelling is bad I am Dyslexic Don't worry about it..

Hi LiimaY. I have the same sort of pains, over the last year or so the Fibromyalgia seems to be spreading, it’s now in my neck, shoulders, arms, buttocks, and more. When I wake in the morning my hands and feet are numb and heavy, then as I start to move around, it turns into pins and needles. Over the last two weeks it has started in my buttocks, a heavy numbness, then when I start to move, tingling and pins and needles. I thought I was having a stroke at first, but I got used to the feelings, and nothing bad has happened, I’m still here. 👍 The gabenton is useless. Have tried ringing the Surgery for an appointment, but keep ending up in a long queue of patients all trying to get an appointment. I have worked out that certain gentle stretches can bring some relief, they seem to get things moving and take some pressure off. Also a Tens machine brings some relief in bed at night. Blessings. 🕊

I have similar pains. My neck and shoulder pain is osteoarthritis and my numbness is cervical radiculopathy. I also have costochondritis which causes chest pain. Maybe you could ask if you have other conditions apart from fibromyalgia, which I also have.

Degenerative Disc Disease And facet joint ,

disc bulges and sacroiliac joint since then I haven’t seen Doctores I am still on waiting list to doctores and my pain is getting worsening day by day ..

It s scary at times we all have good scared at one time or another, hopefully you can see your GP and see if he/she can look at ways to improve your pain right now. I do have codiene for when my pain is high but only allowed to take it 2/3 days at a time until it s not so bad. Doc says not too use all the time as can be addictive so I use duloxtene in general . I am missing my bath right now(until plumber comes) I do find having a soak helps relax neck/shoulders/back . I have used a heat bag for neck in the past. Heat differently helps my body xx

I also have the same conditions as you. My doctor has been very good. She has me on an increasing dose of Lyrica )pregabalin). Seems to be helping although for the first week or so after having the dosage increased, I am tired and light headed. Also doing physical therapy but too early to tell if it’s helping. Pain management doctor will be giving me a lidocaine injection in lower back joints next to discs on the 19th. This is to see if pain goes away. If it does he will then do an ablation on the nerves in those joints. That is will burn the nerves. Sounds horrifying but it’s an outpatient procedure. They will then do the same on my neck disc joints. Rather try this than surgery!
