Hi I have now had both doses of the vaccine and I realised the other day that I'm feeling the best I have for years. I wondered if it might be the vaccine. I believe there are similarities with long covid and fibromyalgia. It might be the warmer weather but can you imagine if there is some positivity from the pandemic.
Anyone else feeling well from the AZ?

Hi funnily enough was going to ask everyone the opposite?.I’ve had my second dose of the Astra Zeneca 10 x days ago and have been in absolute agony since probably the worst I’ve felt in 5 years plus ??
Hi Derby123ryan, I had the 1ft AstraZeneca vaccine and was in bed for 12 days and the next day in A & E with a massive migraine attack due to the AstraZeneca vaccine, I was due to have my other one last week but was hospitalised so not looking forward to my 2nd one ☝️
Thank you Derby123ryan, I came off venaflaxin that I shouldn’t have even been on but they way it was done was all too quick which gave me a neurological overload and my brain isnt talking to the rest of my body and I have to learn to walk all over again 🥲
That’s terrible I hope everything goes ok remember stay positive.A positive mind and an attitude that this won’t beat me is our best weapon against this terrible illness
Thank you Derby223ryan, I can be stubborn and am determined to get back to how I was before all this happened but I just have to remind myself that I can’t run before I can walk, I get very tired easily now which I get annoyed about and have laughing/crying/irritable mood swings and then I don’t know what I want, I’ve been out in public with my walker and people I know have seen me with it which I get embarrassed 🙈 as it’s only a small island but I’ve got the rehabilitation team and physio coming today so fingers crossed they’ll have a plan for me to start rebuilding my strength 😊
It could perhaps be a relief of stress and anxiety that has caused the improvement.I had a flare up that had been going on for over a year and I was thinking that this was going to be permanent.
I was really worried about recovering from my heart op with fibro on top of it all but when I woke up from my operation the flare up was gone.
The dull background ache is still there but not the agony.
I am wondering if the stress of waiting for the operation was the cause of the flare and the relief that it is over (and I survived) has caused the respite.
Having the vaccine jab is a great stress reliever (for all but a few conspiracists) so that may have sent your fibro away for now.
For now I am enjoying the relief... If only it didn't feel like someone has driven a bus over my ribcage.
I'm not sure. I've had both doses, and I feel relatively well, but; I'm 'off' in some ways.
Now it could be just that I'm old, and today I have gone into a flareup, for some reason I can't put my finger on.
Restless, can't settle needing more sleep (although I slept well last night, and had another 2 hours after breakfast). Stiff and aching.
Things I want to do in the garden, but not the strength to do them, Stuff needing doing indoors too, heads churning with things, crafts, books to read, etc.
The Fibrofog is fighting my normal absentmindedness, and at my age, I'm wondering if Alzheimers'is rearing it's ugly head!
hi Rachorachel and everyone else. I had my 2nd Astro Zenica two weeks ago and
, like you, I've felt stronger and in less fibro pain since. Had absolutley no side effects from both jabs. I have felt reluctant to believe than I am now on a flat plataeu as regarding new symptoms but I'm keeping positive
I recently had my second jab and to be honest it put me into a flare up. My whole skin went ultra sensitive everywhere to the point where clothes hurt.
I just keep telling myself the benefits outweigh the risks!
But god I hope it dials down a bit. I work full time and I’m struggling to stay awake 🤦♀️
I found the same! Everyone I know without fibromyalgia complained of sore arms, aches and pains, but after each jab I felt really well for a week or so! Sadly back to normal after a week, good days and bad days. Mostly the fatigue and leg pain for me…..
Thanks everyone for commenting as ever it is a mixed response. I was hoping so much that everyone would reply saying the jab was lasting relief. But for now I'm still riding the positive effects. Take care everyone, fibro is a rocky ride for sure. Xx
