I've had the AstraZeneca vaccine and other than a slightly sore arm for a few days, I had no side effects at all. I thought I might have at least some, as I also have CFS, osteoporosis, severe IBS and chemical/medication/cosmetic allergies, plus dairy and fructose intolerance.
I know side effects of a vaccine, or a lack of them, can vary a lot from person to person, and I believe this applies to Fibro sufferers to the same degree as any other members of the population. I believe the slight risk of a few days of side effects from a vaccine are worth it.
Hello there , I can see our moderator Dizzytwo has already posted a helpful link for you, from speaking to friends /family on the different vaccines people have recently had
a typical mixed bag of no reaction s to some feeling unwell after, I do hear this after the yearly flu jab as well, it’s all new to us, hopefully soon life can return to being somewhat near normal 😀take care
I’ve had my AstraZenica vaccination left me with a sore arm, I was poorly then for over a week, I also had COVID 19 the end of December 2020 to the beginning of January 2021, unfortunately I now have Long COVID 19 and I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 16/03/2021 and I am overwhelmed at the moment.
Hi, yes I had my first dose in February, the jab was fine but I did have side effects. Whole body felt bruised, headache, temp, legs wouidnt work properly. But...... I have to say it’s worth it as it’s 100% better than getting Covid.
I had my first dose of the Pfizer jab 6 weeks ago and suffered mild side effects, sore arm and feeling slightly under the weather for about 3 to 4 days, and a headache for a few hours afterwards. Had my 2nd jab on Monday, and no side effects at all, except if I touched my arm at the site of the injection it felt a bit sore, but that has gone now. It's definitely worth having the jab.
I had the AstraZenica a month ago and felt a bit grotty that evening but not for long - and a whole lot better than getting (or giving!) Covid.
Hello, I had the AstraZeneca vaccine about 2 weeks ago. Immediately felt like I had flu which lasted 2 days then had a flare with a sore red arm; which proceeded to shingles and now starting to feel a bit better but the redness in the arm has come back (supposedly the redness can be a normal reaction in some people even after 2 weeks of having the jab). Personally not sure i will be having the 2nd jab - had covid last April. Everyone reacts differently but you should have the first jab at least. We are a friendly bunch on this site but I have felt recently that one or two of the moderators get a bit touchy when we all talk about covid jab side effects. Of course we're going to have the jab but fibromites living with pain/lots of issues are going to get a little tetchy about a new jab and the possible consequences. Anyway, take care
Hi I had first one 6 weeks ago tomorrow didn't have any side effects at all .🌷
I had my 1st about 3weeks ago after effects I felt sick headache only lasted about 3/4 hours then it went off then felt ok after that hope it helps
I’ve had both vaccines. Please don’t worry about side effects as you may not get them. Have some Paracetamol handy and have an easy day afterwards. Good luck x
