Hi , can anyone recommend the best type of mattress for a Fibromyalgia sufferer. I am finding it very painful to get comfortable at all on the topper I have recently purchased.

I had a lot of issues with my mattress before. Then I went to a bed shop where they ask you to lie down on a mattress connected to sensors and it assesses where you need support - and suggests which type of mattress will work best for you.
I ended up with a sprung mattress with a memory foam layer built in - it’s been a revolution in terms of my pain in bed. It was about £500 but it’s been worth every penny.
Not sure if this kind of service is available during Covid, but worth asking at some local bed shops xx
Thanks for the info .As you say worth every penny if it helps relieve the pain.
I second that LoneEra , I bought a SilentNight 2000pocketsprung with Memory Foam layer, single bed size for £400 in sale at John Lewis, it’s the best mattress I have ever slept on, so comfortable.
I have previously bought various other memory foam good quality mattress, they were ok, but they eventually got too soft with lying in the space that your body makes over time.
I also bought a sprung pillow which I use on its own and that is also great. I bought it out of B&M it was £20.
GP. 😊😊.
Hi, Greyt. I love my Purple mattress. At first it seemed stiff to me but by day 3, I realized I didn't hurt as much. I couldn't feel the painful pressure points when laying down. Like my shoulders, backside, hips. I didn't ache as much as I usually did most days. I have had the mattress since Fall 2017 and really like it. Some mattress shops carry the brand. Otherwise, Purple often does a free trial period to try it. Last I knew it was 100-days.
I've had a hypnia memory foam mattress for 10plus years now (got a new, slightly smaller one when I downsized 3 years ago). Great value at £230 for King size. Soooooo comfortable IMHO.
I’ve brought Tempur Cloud Elite 25. Expensive but so worth it.
