Hello everyone I hope your all managing to get a little if this lovely sunshine.
I normally manage my fybro quite well with various methods eg meditation diet etc but since having my first Covid jab it’s put me back in bed, racked with pain , migraines brain fog and complete exhaustion! Had anyone else had this? I’m now seriously worried about having the second dose.

here is a response I have used previously. The second time your immune system "sees" covid it can have a larger response as your immune system is triggered. So if you have had covid already, then a first dose of a vaccine can be your immune systems second sight of it. Typically the reaction is a few days long.
Hi there, sorry to hear your feeling so unwell. I'm not sure why you should feel so bad. It may be coincidental you went down with a fibro flare up at the same time you had the jab. If your not feeling better by tmw I would let your GP know. I hope you feel better soon xx
Thank you for your reply I do aim to speak to my gp this week, they thought my hip replacement had failed the pain in my hips has been so bad but X-ray came back ok, it’s so frustrating my gP just doesn’t know what to do except offer more pain killers.
I see, so it could be your hip making you feel worse rather than it been the jab? I had about 3 days where I felt a little off it but nothing to put me in to bed thank goodness. I had the sore arm for about a week but for many that seems quite normal. I hope you can get some help with your pain from your GP 🤞🤞
Hi goldylocks.....sorry to read how awful you feel....I had the jab several weeks ago and had severe side effects requiring a visit to a&e for a magic painkiller....it did take me up to a month to feel well again..so hopefully you will find that a bit reassuring. My GP has been very good...phone calls to check my progress etc...my sister had hers' on Friday and had same side effects as I did....our other sister just a bit tired and nauseous...(we've gone off her for a while!😂)...like you I am not looking forward to next jab....my sister and I said we felt like we had been used in some sort of chemical warfare trial! Hopefully you will soon start to turn a corner and feel much better.
Hi Goldylocks I had my first jab at the end of March and was unwell after aches, fever etc. Then 10 days after I woke in the night with an extremely painful upper arm where I had the jab and numb down my arm. Have been on painkillers since and going for blood test on Wednesday, really getting me down tried cutting down on the tablets but can't bear the pain. Really tender. Don't know if it's our antibodies? Hope you start feeling better soon.
I was really quite ill for a while but no where near as long as you, about 5 days after the first jab. But it triggered a bad migraine after that so you can add another 3 days. I had widespread muscle pain, my whole body, exhaustion and fever, nausea. Took morphine for the first time in a year.
I was The same and then had smaller episodes which got further apart as the weeks went on but got my second jag and been fine.I do think I may have another underlying health issues such as diabetics which I need to confirm with GP so hoping it's this and not vaccine related
Hi I had a severe reaction to it had yo go to a&e to get checked for clots. It was about 8 days before I felt right again. I got the Astra zeneca. The 2nd does is not supposed to be as bad. Which vaccine did you get?
I was unwell and exhausted and more pain etc for six days after the first vaccine. I have not had covid as far as I am aware. However after the 2nd vaccine I was perfectly fine vaccine wise. I have both chronic fatigue and fybromyalgia.
Maybe it's just been a coincidence for you being in a flare.
I had covid last March - felt unwell for about 6 weeks. Had the Astra jab in March with side effects for about a month (including shingles). I still don't feel great since having had both of these. I will not be having my second jab. My personal choice! Take care
Hello there, I see Desquinn has already posted a helpful reply. I am hearing in general that family/friend s have had reactions in general ,mostly feeling under the weather for a couple of days , heady, fatigued. I do understand being abit worried , I did have a couple of off days where I felt unwell and slept more , if you feel worried and symptoms have not improved give your GP surgery a call for a piece of mind , I do hope you start to feel better very soon, I have managed to see some Sunshine on a walk near the river with my little grandson who was quite happy to tuck into homemade strawberry ice cream 😀
I slept for about 5 days after my vaccine, and did end up with a bit of a Fibro flare.... However, it was not having the vaccine that caused the flare - it was because I spent so much time lying in bed, sleeping and was not up and moving around. Stiffness caused more pain, and triggered a flare
