Does anyone keep dropping things
Hi Shadylady, yes I have that problem too. I drop things all the time. I also find some things difficult to pick up. I have a problem putting lids on jars and bottles. This is a horrible condition.
Yes, it's very frustrating when it happens . It's as if my muscles have a total mind off their own
I too have become so clumsy - dropping things, finding it difficult to pack my shopping at the supermarket checkout! What’s that all about!
Hi bewitching shopping for me has become very stressful over the last couple of weeks, so much so that my daughters have said they Will take over doing it. I feel in 2 minds about that as it just seems another part of my life in losing control of because of this scrappy desease
Yes, I find myself actually launching things as if dropping & fumbling wasn't bad enough! Sometimes texting can be quite interesting too & I so know what you mean Bewitch with the bag packing 🙈
Lol, yes I've got pretty good a launching items, it's that pathetic at times I laugh about it 🤣🤣🤣🤣 especially the teaspoon, could we say we have tics !!!
True saying if you don't laugh you cry! Yesterday launched an empty box of breakfast biscuits in the cats direction while attempting to put it in the bin, must've batted it 3 times before I caught it! Her wee face was a picture, she didn't know what way to go 🙀 was quite impressed I actually caught it😂
All the time 😂
Hi yes I have problems dropping things, last night I dropped one of my tablets and it was just by my foot. I was bending over trying to pick it up but it just seemed like I couldn't reach it. My husband had to pick it up. It's just another rotten symptom of fibro.
Dropped two bowls a minute ago. Hands just seem to shut off for a moment. Looked it up so often can't anything about it.
Yes am the same I could be holding something in my hand one minute and it drops to the floor also have a habit of cutting my hand when trying to chop food too cos of it
Thanks, thought it was just me being clumsy 🙃
Oh I do stuff like that all the time. I've also got this jerking sort of movement in my hands and my legs which means I spontaneously kick my slipper off or throw my phone or whatever is in my hand at the time. I've got to the point where I just laugh at it. This illness just keeps on giving. Remember your not alone in this crazy fibro world x
Yes, I have periods when I get ‘crack-handed’, also lost fine motor skills. Have you had your vits/ minerals checked? I have hypothyroidism too and for that ailment it’s important to have high range ferritin, folate, b12 and vit D....if I keep to that generally not soooo bad with carrots ( or me) on floor instead of in pan! Might help.
Hi Shady,Yes I have developed the droppsies since having Fibro, it's as if I can't fine tune my movements, then having to bent over to pick whatever you've dropped is painful and you just have to do the grunting noise, that's a must lol, I also trip over the stupidest things which is also painful jarring your leg muscles, that usually due to not picking my feet up as I'm trying to limit movement due to muscle pain.
I have also developed twitches, such as using a pad mouse my fingers uncontrollably twitch which upsets what ever page I'm on.
The list of issues could go on & on as you may well know, I find it extremely hard to explain to my GP, so I make notes to narrow down the conversation, now six years into having Fibro I don't bother going into detail, he's not really interested, apparently at 60 I'm old and have to except pains !!!!
Yes me to so annoying get some days worst than others 🌷
Thanks 😊 its so annoying especially when I've got something hot in my hand its dangerous. I will just add it to rest of my ailment 😆
Hi. I also have a problem with dropping things, to the extent that I have bought cheap cups and glasses for me to use as I was fed up of replacing the good ones. Shaving is a nightmare as I drop the razor. As is writing or chopping food as the pain in my hand is unbearable doing anything like that. I've had to stop hobbies like drawing and candle making as they have become dangerous, boiling pan of wax and unexpected dropping isn't good. I tried the compression gloves that are used for arthritis but they didn't really help.
