Hi I have fibro confirmed in sept last year after a long battle with pain the doc is messing with tablets and im in alot of pain he is adding and taking away tablets without a coming off period

Some tablets you can switch between without going through a washout period. They can overlap without issue. But your relationship with the doc should be a partnership so its worth having a chat about what your concerns are and take a partner if needed.

Also I would maybe watch the language with them as "messing with tablets" is possibly them "trying to find the optimal treatment for your situation."

Some medications within the same group can be swapped out without tapering.

I always preferred to do one swap at a time with a month or so to allow the change a chance to work.

Go back to your GP and have a conversation about your increased pain levels and any other new symptoms, asking to take the process slower is perfectly reasonable
