Rheumatologist appt

I have my first appointment with rheumatology today.

Can you give me any insight to what happens at the appointment?

I’d like to go feeling prepared!

Oh that’s excellent news I can’t really help as my appointment has now been cancelled 4 times in a row since February due to COVID but good luck hope you get the answers you need.

Thanks. I seen a lovely consultant. She listened and didn’t rush. Formally diagnosed with fibro & CFS xxx

Glad you got on ok today.... I have my appointment on 7th December.... it’s an urgent appointment.... I have seen a rheumatologist msk specialist who took one took at me and said I needed to be seen urgently.... I already have a number of health conditions.... but now have been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis.... 😩

Hi. At Rheumatologist my Fibromyalgia was confirmed by talking through and checking my tender points. Further down the line I had an MRI scan on my spine which confirmed spondyloarthritis and sacrolilitis. Good luck and take a load of notes with you.

Hi there, I'm glad your appointment went well. Sorry you got diagnosed with this horrible illness. But now you know what your dealing with I hope you also have an understanding GP on board. A good doctor is a massive help to all who suffer but more so IMO when we have an invisible illness 🤗🤗
