Like many fibro sufferers I can’t take prescription meds but find that the microwaveable wheat bags help as do hot water bottles. I also have a heated cape (£15 from Lidl) Also something called biofreeze helps me. You could also try Epsom salts in a bath, this helps muscle aches and pains.
Also have you had your vit D levels checked? If not this is something your GP can organise.
Your GO should be able to give you something to help you over the worst of the flare.
healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., Hello nana68 and welcome, yes it’s pretty rotten when pain and flares go on awhile, like dinkie says I wouldn’t be without my Epsom salts bath every day, I ve just gone on Amazon and stocked up with some bags of lovely smelly ones , found a good deal from company called Westlab on there. I too use bio freeze which I’ve ordered on there or sometimes boots the chemist sells it. Differently for me is warmth and relaxation , yes the hot bottle too, really chilly today so stocked up on essentials and glad to be home. I differently find my body will just naturally slow me up so I go with my flow paste and rest up and hope any flares jog off. Sometimes for me it can be a day, couple of days, and have also had more lenghty spells. You could ring your surgery and ask for a call back from your doc or practioner nurse tomorrow for a piece of mind, keep warm and rest up xxx. , ps posted a link above if you want to lock your future posts as only our community can see and not open to any other site engines on the internet.
