Hello Everyone!
I continue to recover fro. Cervical Disc Disease Surgery, going on my 6th week. Pain is still bad in my dominant right hand and arm and in my neck and upper shoulders but this is just another addition to the damaged body I have been dragging around since my late 20's.
I am a 55 year old female, living in the United States, I grew up in Hawaii and finally ended up leaving home at the age of 27.
My story is long, much to long to share here so I will start with, I have been diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis, Fibromyalgia, and in the last year after fighting to find out what is causing so much new pain they found Degenerative Disc and 2 ruptured discs that had been pinching my spinal cord and many bone spurs in my Cervical Spine. Finally got the pain docs to do MRI and they found that, so far. I wish I could say my recovery is yielding improved results but my dominant right hand and arm continue to hurt BAD and now trying PT.
I want to ask how many of you have suffered from childhood trauma, rape, beatings, you name it, they did it, but it would be interesting to see how many others suffered from similar experiences.
When the war on opiates started, I got caught in a change of PCM and my hubby us retired from the Marine Corp so we have Government Healthcare, but that animal cold turkey me off my pain meds of which I had been on for over 25 years and almost killed me. I also suffer from Stage 3B Renal Disease. I made it through that and Jesus as He always has put folks in my life who want to help and now I'm finding out so much of the pain is and has been legitimate all along. So many years of being judged by work boss and so many others because they could not SEE the damage.
I needed to finally share and I hope whoever reads this will know they are not alone, hang i. There and continue to fight!
